Monsieur Lambrays had been beaten in handicaps before winning a novices race over track and trip while All Points West finished a long way behind the winner when sent off favourite at Pontefract though is having only his second start of the year. But DOBRIANKA fared much better when runner-up at Kempton on her handicap debut and Ralph Beckett’s filly is taken to go one better in this. Bug Boy escaped a penalty for an earlier win last time but could only manage third at Chepstow while Valence struggled in soft going back in June having won over a shorter trip at Beverley before that.
