      Verdict

      Merrjanah retuned to action with a second over a shorter trip here and makes most appeal of those with a handicap rating. Bygones For Coins is better off at the weights with the latter but arrives in dreadful form while Rano Pano and Pobs Trophy have been hurdling and will need to step up on their earlier efforts on the Flat to figure. STORY WRITER won't have to be a world-beater to come out best on his belated racecourse debut as he's related to a couple of winners, Bill Knight's charge might just be good enough to score.
