King of Argos was a comfortable winner of his maiden at Chepstow when last seen in June so Ed Dunlop's gelding could be of interest on his first start since and first in a handicap today having been left unchanged by the handicapper since then and gets the vote ahead of Nanton and Woolfall Blue. The last mentioned gained an overdue first success when landing a Kempton maiden in September but he could probably do with some help from the handicapper and may be booked for a place at best. Mark Johnston's Street Warrior looked something of a doubtful stayer over this trip at Lingfield last time and is hard to back on that evidence, while Cactus King looks a shade high in the weights at present and could probably do with some help from the handicapper. The old campaigner Dower House is still capable of fair form but does not win very often, a comment that also applies to Consonant. Nanton is only 2lbs higher than when scoring at Redcar two starts ago and has claims on that evidence but King of Argos is potentially well treated for his return and he gets the vote.
