    Verdict

A typical big field Windsor maiden with horses from top stables, Michael Stoute likes to plunder these prizes and Motive is given the nod, with Coming Again and Nietzsche put forward as alternatives. This expensive purchase ran a race full of promise when finishing a four length fifth behind Night Frolic at Kempton last time. The form has already been given a boost with the ninth home easily winning at Ascot on Saturday. Motive should be open to plenty of improvement and could land this before moving on to better things. Coming Again ran a cracker on his debut behind So Will I over six furlongs, before slightly disappointing over this trip on his seasonal debut. The softish ground may have been against him in that contest and we expect an improved performance this time. Nietzsche finished behind Coming Again in that Newmarket maiden but ran a belter next time on better ground when finishing runner up to the smart Crystal, another big run is expected. Of the newcomers John Gosden's Plummet is worth a look in the betting but for the winner we return to Motive.
