      Verdict

Mrs Meader showed progressive form last year but faded badly on the testing ground at Doncaster on her reappearance. She’ll be sharper for this and Rick Blaine may also improve on his second outing after a breathing operation. Waterloo Sunset has been thereabouts in tight finishes on the all-weather recently but a chance is taken on TALAP (NAP). The latter was in the process of running a big race when denied a clear run at Lingfield on only his second start for David Pipe’s yard. He won five times on the Flat in France so gets the vote.
