Rowley Hill, a faller last time when sent off favourite for a more competitive Kempton contest, can land this if re-producing a second placing on his penultimate start at Folkestone. Testing ground conditions will not inconvenience him and he remains open to plenty of improvement. Rated in the 130s over hurdles, he would take a lot of beating if putting his best foot forward. Kiltimoney is the type that can be taken to run his race and although a fairly one paced animal, he is also the type that relishes a test of stamina. Master Alf is unusually unexposed for the normal staying handicap chaser at this level and finished just behind Kiltimoney on their recent clash at Fontwell. He is another that cannot be left from calculations while the same can be said of Diamond Cutter. A large discrepancy exists between Diamond Cutters' hurdles and chase mark and while he looks decidedly average over the larger obstacles it would be no surprise were he to get involved. Rowley Hill would take all the beating if returning to anything like his old form and we are prepared to take the chance with him and select him to come home in front.
