Verdict
The vote here goes to Leroy's Sister ahead of Gordon Highlander and Miss Merenda. More on the selection later. Cansalrun put up an improved effort at Taunton last time, although more will be needed again. Gordon Highlander also showed improved from last time and the step up in trip should bring about more of the same. Leroy's Sister has run respectably without winning so far and, if official ratings are to be believed, has to hold a solid chance, while Sweet Shooter showed some improvement in a first-time visor last time, but more will be needed again. Finally, Miss Merenda has shown more than enough to be considered here in what is, as we say, a race that lacks strength in depth. Given that she will rarely get a better chance to land a race, the selection is Leroy's Sister.
