The versatile Deutschland hadn't been showing much before a very good run behind One Cool Shabra on heavy ground at Bellewstown and could do with some rain. Paramount was well behind that day but has run better over a shorter trip subsequently at the Curragh. Lady Imola followed her maiden success on fast going at Tramore with a fair run behind Captain Cee Bee at the Curragh though she was beaten a long way. CLOUDGAZER will no doubt be hurdling before too long but in the meantime looks good enough for a race of this nature after a decent effort on his return from a long absence behind Whatuthink at Leopardstown.
