Verdict
The veteran A New Story couldn't quite defend his Cross Country Chase crown at Cheltenham but his earlier close third over timber at Naas suggests he's not done with just yet. MR PERNICKETY is improving with every run and came with a late burst to catch Dizzy Rascal over 2m6f at Thurles. Sure to be suited by today's trip he can continue his progress and take this. Katie's Jem created a surprise when beating De Dodger at Limerick and a 6lb rise shouldn't prevent another big run but the biggest threat may emerge from Whatsabillion, a winner over fences at Clonmel in March who didn't get going until far too late three days later in a handicap hurdle at Limerick.
