Verdict
This race has thrown up four double-priced winners from the last six renewals so enthusiasm is limited, but KALA PATTHAR has credentials convincing enough for us to side with him. Colin Tizzard suggests this one is the best bumper horse in the yard and also said that he'd be ready to fire first time, so the fact he's been sent to a track where the trainer has a 50% strike-rate in such events looks ominous for the rest. Fillies Ophelia's Kiss and Fairy Trader have experience on their side and both showed promise on debut, with the latter likely to fare better under these conditions, but best of the rest may be Cardinal Rose, who is the half-brother to a bumper winner and whose dam also achieved victory in one of these. Zama Zama is a flat-bred horse who should have more speed than most and he's considered along with a host of others, headed by Money Bridge and The Languid One.
