A large field but plenty of dead wood in evidence and the short-list can quickly be whittled down to a handful of runners. That's not to say that there aren't some nice types on display and there are some top yards represented but Warling, Marywell and MASCARENE are possibly the three to concentrate on with Ryan Moore's presence in the saddle ensuring the last named gets the nod. Mascarene is the first foal of a smart performer and it looks significant that Moore has come on to Warwick to ride although it's worth remembering that the yard doesn't have a great record here. They're also represented by Rahaala who also makes plenty of appeal on paper and is sure to improve on her debut effort. Warling made her debut in a decent Newmarket maiden and both she and Tymora may have more to offer whilst Marywell, Le Muguet and Jewellery are others that look the part on paper. The market will no doubt reveal plenty but the suggestion is Mascarene.
