        Verdict

        SIR BRUNO was beaten less than a length by a couple of much higher rated rivals in a conditions race over C&D recently. That form suggests he's improved since last year and Bryn Palling's charge looks potentially well treated back in a handicap. Mandhooma scored at Brighton last week and should confirm superiority with fourth Kingswinford, while April Fool, Copperwood, Valmina and Gemma's Delight all finished runner-up on their latest starts and are others to consider in a competitive closer.
