Verdict
The market's always well worth watching for these bumper races, given that only seven of the scheduled twelve have raced before, so with little form to go on, we'll tentatively put up Irish point winner BENBANE HEAD in preference to Barafundle and Edge of Town. Martin Keighley's gelding was a ready winner in his only Irish point to point outing, and comes here for his debut under rules. Jenny Candlish knows how to turn out these bumper winners, so Barafundle deserves respect. Third on debut, the ground's an unknown factor for him. Edge of Town is a newcomer for Donald McCain and could be anything, so again look for any support. That can be the key to these contests, but we'll suggest that first home could be Benbane Head.
