Baron Windrush can outstay them all to land the day's feature, with Garryvoe, The Outlier, Parkinson and Jaunty Times just a few in with claims. Stamina is very much the key here, and the well-handicapped Baron Windrush has that in abundance. In the doldrums for much of this season, the Nigel Twiston-Davies inmate bounced back to form when beating a small field at Warwick last time, and although he does put in the odd bad jump or two, there is no doubting the fact that he is well handicapped compared to last year. Garryvoe is another to consider, as he too relishes a stamina test as proved by his recent success over four-miles at Stratford. Raised just 7lb, he gets in here on 10st 3lb and should go close. The Outlier was pulled up in testing ground at Haydock, but had been in fair form earlier, and makes slightly more appeal than stablemate Nil Desperandum who has plenty of weight, and who is being aimed at Aintree anyway. Ladalko is on a career-high mark now, and although he is a classy sort from an in-form stable, will do well to hump 11st 12lb to victory. Down at the other end of the weights lies Parkinson who is learning all the time and will be a big threat in these sort of races in years to come. The Irish have won this four times in the past 10-years, and so any support for last year's winner GVA Ireland or indeed Tony Martin's Newbay Prop should be heeded, while of the remainder, Jaunty Times gets a favourable mention on his third to Gungadu at Ascot. If he stays, he is yet another that can figure in the finish, but for the winner we return to Baron Windrush.
