Smithlyn impressed on his debut, where he accounted for more experience rivals including the runner-up, who had finished second and third in his two previous outings, as well as the third, who had filled the same position as well as winning his bumper. So the form looks solid enough and Smithlyn is take to follow up under his penalty at the main expense of Green Tango, who shaped with plenty of promise in a big field at Worcester on his debut and will no doubt find plenty of improvement from that. Springbrook Girl, who attracted plenty of support here on her debut, achieved little in finishing third and there has been nothing of any use to come out of that race. Jonjo O'Neill relies on Baron Blitzkreig from two entries and is respected, as is Stock Dove, who is out of a mare that won over seven-furlongs on the flat. However, Smithlyn comes out of a strongish contest and should be capable of giving the weight to Green Tango.
