Princesse Grec bids to follow up her recent Hereford win with a 7lb penalty and should have no problem obliging with White Dove, Binny Bay and Vitelucy posing the main dangers. Princesse Grec's win was in similar company but over the slightly longer trip of 2m3f. She beat Lady Ward by a convincing one-and-a- half lengths and runs again before the handicapper can reassess that performance, so connections must feel she is well treated with her penalty. Binny Bay who hails from the Grand National maestro Ginger McCain's yard was hampered and brought down in the same contest but she was by no means out of it at the time and time will tell whether her confidence has been knocked. The drop down in trip should not bother her though. White Dove managed a win over fences in February and has not shown that level of form since but the stable of Ian Williams always do well at this time of year and she was not beaten far over 2m4f at Fakenham last time out when weakening two out. Vitelucy has been performing well on the flat of late and always seems to pick a race up of this nature each year, but even though the stable are claiming 10lbs off her back she still has a lot on her plate. Princesse Grec is taken to defend her penalty with White Dove chasing her home.
