An intriguing seller with a number of the usual suspects joined by some less familiar names. MONSIEUR has dropped to a favourable mark so we side with him at the principal expense of Safin and Waltham Abbey. The perennial front runner has now dropped to a mark of 90 and while winning isn't something that comes easy, the handicapper has at least given him a feasible chance these days. Safin is much improved over hurdles and on the flat. He has few fitness worries. Waltham Abbey finished second on his only previous foray into this grade. A fair novice on his day, it is surprising that he is yet to win a race. Fortune Point is unreliable and only he will decide if making an effort is a worthwhile pursuit. Grave Doubts would enter the equation if the ground dries out. Fair Shake has only scored once in 19 attempts though is much more at home among the platers. Path To Glory represents a yard who's runners are in fair nick. Doctor Robert is tried under professional handling having shown little for an amateur rider last time out. Phantom Du Lac drops to this level for the first time and with first time blinkers and Tony McCoy aboard, it will be no surprise to see the punters taking more than just a passing interest. Monsieur gets the nod.
