Verdict

Land Afar showed promise on heavy ground at Cork before scooting away at Ballinrobe on quicker going. Aine O'Connor's claim is again a plus as is Jody Townend's 5lb on board Sir Argus, who beat subsequent winner The Last Mardi narrowly at Thurles before runner-up at the Punchestown Festival. Patrick Mullins rode him to that victory and takes the ride on RATH GAUL BOY here. He looked a smart prospect when winning easily at Leopardstown and didn't quite enjoy the run of the race in a Grade 2 at Aintree later. Time To Rocco was a comfortable winner over 2m2f here and her rider's 7lb claim will aid her cause.
