In depth

Verdict

A low-grade handicap where Mrs Batt will be fancied as she has been running well recently and scored on soft ground at Limerick in April. However, she was beaten over three lengths by AN MHI over the C&D in August and the winner is now 2lb better off. Joanna Morgan's charge hasn't been in the best of form but is worth taking a chance on in an open contest. Trotting Weasel, who was very close up in third that day, has been out of form on Polytrack subsequently but is another who can do better back on turf. Aragorn Icon is still a maiden but is getting closer and there was plenty to like about his second to the in-form Rock On Ciara at Killarney where Via Mia was behind. Secret Hero has finished behind both Via Mia and Mrs Batt recently and it's difficult to imagine her turning the tables.
