Verdict

General Counsel is likely to be a warm order here after a very nice introduction at Cork in April though that was over 2m3f and he looks a staying type. He'll be difficult to beat but BATTLE OF ACTIUM ran very well for a long way in a strong Punchestown bumper last month and could just outpace his main rival. Getabay will improve for his run at Navan where he didn't get going until too late while Derek O'Connor's presence on the newcomer Blue Ribbon, a half-brother to a couple of winners, is noted.
