Verdict

War Correspondent has been reasonably consistent over hurdles and the half-brother to War Of Attrition should make a chaser, though the experience of MACKEYS FORGE may just prove too much for him here. Dessie Hughes' charge has some strong form in better company and though a bit disappointing at times this looks about his level and he can finally get off the mark over the bigger obstacles. Western Man ran poorly over hurdles last time but an earlier fine effort over this course and distance was followed by a hurdles success at Fairyhouse so he is definitely one to keep an eye on. Hit The Headlines, a maiden hurdle and bumper winner, is bred for chasing and is expected to do well in this sphere
