Winthorpe is the pick over Blackheath, with Circuit Dancer and Summer Recluse another couple to consider. Winthorpe has been very consistent and gave another good account of himself when a close second to Norcroft at Wolverhampton in April. Six furlongs seems to be his trip and John Quinn's charge can pay to follow here off what is still a reasonable mark. Blackheath was put in his place by George The Best at Hamilton last time but that was still an improvement on earlier efforts and he is another that can make his presence felt here. Adrian Nicholls rides the stable's other runner Circuit Dancer though, and the Kempton second is preferred of the pair. Summer Recluse always seems to find one too good but is likely to be on the premises along with his stablemate High Ridge. There are plenty of others in with place claims at least, including Zidane, but in a hard one to call, we return to Winthorpe as the pick.
