Verdict

Another difficult little handicap to get to grips with to close the card at Thirsk and Sheriff's Deputy is only a tentative choice to round off the evening with a winner. However, Tourmalet, Rookwith and Rockerfella Lad all arrive here with solid recent form to their names and it looks sure to go right down to the wire. But Sheriff's Deputy has done very little wrong in his last three outings and has simply been out-battled for the spoils close home. His attitude to racing has to be commended and this could finally be his day to gain that illusive first career win.
