Making Dreams couldn’t handle a further 6lb rise at Newcastle but this looks less competitive. Swift Salian is 7lb better off than when beaten under two lengths by CHARGED UP over 7f at Musselburgh two runs ago but the winner gives the impression he’ll enjoy this first try over a mile, though he could have been better drawn. Both Straight A and Golden Bungle were well beaten at Doncaster in July but it was soft ground that day. Phone Tag, fourth on his handicap debut at Goodwood, looks best of the rest.
