Verdict

Brainstorm scored at Fontainebleau on testing ground in April but pulled up in a much better race at Auteuil in September. Graystone was in fine form on the Flat during the summer, scoring three times. He showed his liking for soft ground when making most and staying on strongly at Warwick and should take some beating despite a penalty. IRISH HILL has his first start for Paul Nicholls after scoring twice in four starts on the Flat in France, including at Longchamp last time. He can make a successful debut over timber though Girandole, who showed nothing in three starts on the Flat, looks like being a much better hurdler judging by his Exeter debut where he was always up with the pace and kept on nicely. Alan King's horses are going well so The Hood is one to note on his hurdling bow.
