Verdict

NOSLER is sure to have been put through his paces since his hurdles debut at Wincanton last month and is given a chance to atone for his inauspicious exit at the second flight. Hohlethelonely along with fellow french imports Prairie Spirit and Marchand D'Argent are others worth bearing in mind. The last named showed consistency on the level in France and is in the right hands to hone his skills in this new venture. However, in the absence of any glowing gallops reports it is safe to assume Phillip Hobbs will be taking a cautious stance with this fellow. So he is probably best watched now he is introduced to hurdling in public for the first time. Prairie Spirit won a batch of races on the Flat in his homeland and made a steady rise to be just short of Listed class. He is an interesting recruit for Charlie Longsdon and definitely one to keep tabs on as he acclimatises to racing in the UK. However, Nosler was well touted before his bloomer at Wincanton and is worth at least another throw of the dice. The modest form shown by some of Paul Nicholls's string is only a temporary diversion as the champion trainer bids to get things back on track. And although Nosler is unlikely to be a superstar this season, he can give provide Nicholls with a nice little fillip today.
