In depth

Verdict

Quite By Chance is only a pound higher than when second at Fontwell last month and his amateur rider claims 7lb. August Hill only found one too good at Wincanton on Boxing Day while Noble Friend went close in a jumper's bumper last month. But it's difficult to look beyond WATT BRODERICK after he won on the bridle at Stratford on Saturday. That was a conditionals' race so escape a penalty and can put his turn of foot to good use again here. Flat winner King's Warrior should be worth following now that the ground is drying out and makes his handicap debut today.
