It was no surprise to see Tactical Manoeuvre return to winning ways at his beloved Taunton last month but there is a slight doubt about his ability to see out this longer trip, even on this sharp track. Oscar Asche slips further down the weights but a third at Hereford may have been a false dawn and he’s now tried in cheekpieces. Drumlee Watar remains unexposed and should strip fitter for a run at Wincanton but WBEE, a bumper winner here, has been knocking on the door over similar trips at Catterick this year and is overdue a first success over timber.
