GLOUCESTER, Bedizen and Bazart catch the eye here, with the first-named taken to follow up a last time out success. A Chepstow winner two outings ago, Bazart struggled off a 6lb higher mark next time. He has pace and is a useful performer on the level, but may need to come back down the weights to register another win. A Wetherby winner on Boxing Day, Bedizen had been out of form until staying on well to be a decent third in a valuable contest last time. A reproduction of that effort would see him go close here. Gloucester landed the odds on his last start over hurdles, and has followed up with two wins on the Flat. He has a high cruising speed, and those recent successes suggest he is well treated here. Gloucester is a confident nomination.
