Trifollet was left with the race at his mercy at Leicester when the long odds-on Findlay's Find gave Nick Williams no chance of staying in the saddle when blundering on the final circuit. There's no guarantee that Myfanwy Miles' sparsely-made gelding would have won anyway and he's now failed to finish in both start under Rules. Ice Cool Benny finished tailed off at Warwick in January but may appreciate a drop in distance and Shalamiyr can improve on last Friday's fifth at Leicester over an extra half-mile. MOMENT PRESENT was a decent hurdler on his day and, still only seven, has scope for improvement over the larger obstacles. He would almost certainly have won between the flags last month had he not been carried out at the final fence and gets the nod in this.
