In the opener, Callisto Moon is selected ahead of Soliya and Tension Point. The first juvenile novice event of the current campaign presents something of a poser and maybe the betting might act as a good guide. We have opted for Callisto Moon, a 65-rated, 11-furlong winner on the Flat at Warwick, form that stands up to inspection in terms of the list of probables for this contest. Included on that list are Cavillo di Ferro, a 58-rated 8-furlong all-weather winner, Green Day Packer, who has shown promise in all-weather handicaps, Tension Point, who showed enough on the Flat to be given some thought here, and the David Pipe-trained Soliya. Once again, though, the selection is Callisto Moon.
Callisto Moon 6-1 (8-13) Towards rear, headway to go in touch over 6f out, ridden 3 out, weakened over 1f out, 6th of 10, 5l behind Pret A Porter (9-1) at Warwick 1m 5f 3yo hcp (5) gf in May (Flat).
Green Day Packer (IRE) 16-1 (8-10) Took keen hold, in touch, pushed along over 4f out, one pace until weakened final furlong, 7th of 13, 5l behind Dan Tucker (9-8) at Southwell 1m 3f 3yo hcp (6) gd in Apr (Flat).
L'Oiseau de Feu (USA) 25-1 (9-3) Held up towards rear, headway over 4f out, ridden, weakened 3f out, 11th of 14, 27l behind Princess Zada (8-8) at Chepstow 1m 3yo hcp (5) gs in May (Flat).
Majestas (IRE) 16-1 (8-8) Led 2f, remained with leader, led briefly again over 3f out, weakened over 2f out, 9th of 11, 41l behind Sky More (8-13) at Nottingham 1m 3yo hcp (5) gs in May (Flat).
