In depth

Verdict

Another low grade contest which will take little winning and Exclusive Air, who has gained both of his victories here, will appreciate the drop in class and is taken to get back to the winning habit. David Barron's four-year-old has been struggling of late, but this is a big drop in class for him and he is taken to outclass his rivals. If the selection fails to fire Heathyards Swing looks the one to take advantage. He comes here in fair form having finished a respectable 5th in a similar contest at Wolverhampton on Saturday evening, looking a big danger until his run flattened out in the closing stages. It is interesting that connections have decided to put the blinkers on for the first time and if they have the desired effect, he will ensure the selection doesn't have things his own way. Of the others Sweetstock may be the one for minor honours, as his does stay well, albeit slowly.
