In depth

Verdict

Heatherdown Matron finished runner-up at Newcastle and Beija Flor found only one too good at Chelmsford last time. But SMOKEY MALONE (NAP) posted his best effort so far despite racing from out of the weights when beaten a length over 7f here last month and this extra distance should suit Julia Feilden’s charge. He finished ahead of third-placed Katty D on that occasion with both Dandini and Baroness Rachael further behind but Pips Tune may improve now handicapping.
