This is probably likely to rest between REBEL REBELLION and newcomer Pair Of Kings, and on this occasion we will just side with the more experienced runner. Charlie Mann's five-year-old won an Irish point last spring and then showed up well on debut in a Sandown bumper in November. He has been given time to come on for that effort, which can pay dividends today. The slow surface should suit the Captain Americo gelding and we will side with him. Pair Of Kings is another Alan Swinbank-trained debutant and is related to some useful National Hunt types. He will know his job more than some and should be capable of a bold showing. Battlefield Bob is a nice chasing type who will probably need this pipe opener, while pedigree suggests that Smokey George might take a bit of time to come to hand. Rebel Rebellion is taken to score.
