A moderate looking maiden that should go to the Peter Harris-trained Blue Mariner, who needs only to reproduce his debut effort at Leicester to get the better of the likes of Jarraaf, Magic Mamma's Too and Najaaba. The selection lost no caste in defeat on his debut when staying on well to finish a length and three-quarters second to the useful Convent Girl over seven furlongs. The step up in trip to a mile should not inconvenience Blue Mariner, who has an obvious chance, if fit enough. Jarraaf seems the most likely to take advantage of any lack of fitness in the Peter Harris-trained colt. James Unett's colt has been a consistent performer of late and should be thereabouts again. He holds more solid claims than Magic Mamma's Too, who has lost his way recently. Najaaba is less exposed than most and, along with Gay Kelleway's Pirouettes has to be respected but this should go to Blue Mariner.
