Sir Bond, Ours and Wodhill Gold are amongst those that take the eye but Krakatau is the one to side with here. Krakatau's last success came last April over course and distance from a 3lb higher mark than today's and his latest effort on the polytrack at Lingfield suggests that he is ready to strike again. He was always struggling to go the pace that day but he was staying on well at the finish and is far more at home on this more testing surface. Wodhill Gold and Ours should be in the mix but look handicapped to the hilt but Sir Bond does have possibilities despite a 4lb rise for his Wolverhampton win. That leaves him with no scope for error though and the claims of Krakatau are preferred.
