        Verdict

        Aberkeen, from a favourable draw, is the TEAMtalk selection to land this seller for an apprentice who gets on well with this gelding. A Southwell specialist the Jed O'Keefe-trained eight-year-old has been slowly coming back to form in the past few runs and is a confident choice at these weights. Samba Beat could have been given a chance on his form of last season but his recent efforts have been poor and although this step back up in trip will suit he is passed over here. Playful Spirit was a frustrating sort on turf last season having shown ability earlier in his career. He ran well enough on his Southwell debut to give him an excellent chance here though the jockey booking does not inspire confidence. Of the rest Sudra is a tough enough sort who knows his way around here though his low draw is a concern.
