Verdict

LONG DOG was a very impressive winner on his racecourse debut on the Flat here in 2013 and though beaten into second by Marinero on his hurdling bow at Fairyhouse in November it was a fine run against a decent opponent. He looks the type to do well this year and is impossible to oppose. After Rain started favourite for a Killarney bumper in May but didn't have the pace to get involved. He should do better over timber as he's bred for the game and rates the main danger. Miss North Light showed potential in bumpers though she ran poorly when strongly fancied on her latest start in May.
