        Verdict

        Dominant won this last year under Zac Purton but Jaoa Moreira takes over the reigns today. His mount came from last to first that day to beat The Fugue and, though out of form so far this season, he'll be back to his best for this. Red Cadeaux won the race in 2012 and has been placed twice. He bounced back to form after a disappointing campaign with his third brilliant second place in the Melbourne Cup and his liking for this track puts him in the picture again. FLINTSHIRE (NAP), runner-up to Treve in the Arc, occupied the same spot in the Breeders' Cup Turf behind Main Sequence and that sort of form gives him an outstanding chance of landing the big prize. Snow Sky landed the Gordon Stakes at Goodwood before placed efforts in the Great Voltigeur and St Leger. He's tackling older horses for the first time and, though open to progress, his overall form doesn't look up to the standard set by the selection, a remark that applies to the remainder of the home contingent. Empoli managed his first Group 1 success at Cologne in September but he's another who will need to step up a gear.
