An uninspiring contest filled with mainly disappointing individuals but Copplestone has some respectable form in the context of this race and gets the vote. Wilf Storey's charge was successful in similar grade at Catterick in December and ran creditably in better company on a return visit earlier in the month. The Second Set gelding has been dropped 3lb since and, with conditions in his favour, should prove hard to beat. Cosmic Ranger and Isca Maiden have place claims on their best form but both were disappointing last time and have something to prove while Kuwait Thunder takes a significant ease in grade but has shown little to suggest he can take advantage. Cristophe ran well when placed in a seller here in January but has shown his best form with more give in the ground.
