Last year’s winner Found is back for more but it’s been a long season for Aidan O’Brien’s brilliant filly, who beat stablemate Highland Reel to win the Arc at Chantilly last month. The latter has won in North America before and also beat Flintshire at Sha Tin last year. Formerly with Andre Fabre, Flintshire won his first three starts for Chad Brown before finding Ectot too good on rain-softened ground at Belmont and is expected to reverse running in this. Mondialiste has won twice on this side of the Atlantic, including the Arlington Million in August, but this longer distance is unchartered territory for David O’Meara’s charge. There are no doubts concerning ULYSSES over today’s trip, however, as Sir Michael Stoute’s colt won the Group 3 Gordon Stakes over 1m4f at Goodwood in July. He has some improving to do to match the leading contenders but remains unexposed and could run a big race. The remainder are harder to fancy with Money Multiplier finding stable companion Flintshire too good on a couple of occasions now and Ashleyluvssugar stepping up in class.
