    Verdict

This isn't the strongest of Listed contests, but competitive nonetheless. Lady Bear, who didn't have the best of runs at York last week, flies the flag for the older horses, but it would be a surprise if she is good enough to see off the younger brigade on these terms. Londonnetdotcom, Play That Tune and Nasij all have bits of form that would give them every chance in this, but on the whole they have been disappointing and a chance is taken with Tadris, who will appreciate the recent rain. Marcus Tregonning's filly is from the same family as Unfuwain, who got better as he got older and as she has only had the four outings to date, is still open to plenty of improvement. She didn't have the best of runs behind Londonnetdotcom at Bath and on 4lbs better terms, she should have no trouble reversing the places. Zyzania, 4th in that contest, turned in a personal best that day and there is no reason why she shouldn't run well again, especially as she is proven on an easy surface. Play That Tune is closely matched with some of these, but will need to put behind her a poor effort at Goodwood. A half-sister to a middle-distance winner in France there is every reason to believe she will improve for this step up to a mile. Zingari and Zither look to have too much on at this level, but Echoes In Eternity, once a hopeful for the Epsom Oaks, is better than she has shown to date and is one to keep an eye on, but Tadris has improved with every run so far and is taken to continue her upward curve.
