Verdict

BIG ORANGE was an excellent fourth in the Dubai Gold Cup at Meydan in March, well ahead of Quest For More. Michael Bell has ambitious plans this year for last season’s Goodwood Cup winner, who should win this en route to next month’s Ascot Gold Cup. Nottingham winner Elidor was well beaten on his only previous try over 2m while Kempton specialist Higher Power has to bridge the gap from handicaps to a Group 3. Vent De Force has won twice here but hasn’t raced since last year’s Ebor when behind subsequent Saint-Cloud Listed winner She Is No Lady.
