Verdict
Goodwood Mirage has every chance having gone close at Doncaster a week ago and racing off the same mark today. But the three-year-old PALING lurks at the other end of the weights and Roger Charlton’s Brighton winner can come out best having been narrowly beaten in a decent handicap at Goodwood last time. That looks stronger form than Juste Pour Nous’ second at Ripon while it was soft ground when Compton Mill won a lower grade handicap at Newmarket last month. Natural Scenery failed to threaten on her handicap debut but has more scope than the returning Stanley, who has been hurdling and won twice on the Flat when trained in France.
