In depth

Verdict

Most are finding winning difficult this term but northern raider, AUTUMN FESTIVAL (NAP), has twice gone down in photo-finishes on recent starts and has already landed a couple of wins this term back in April. He's essentially a tough and reliable handicapper who remains on a feasible mark and the booking of William Buick is an added bonus. He can defy topweight. Course winner Reversion is better than his form figures suggest this season as he's not been beaten at all far on either occasion and looks ready to go close with first-time cheekpieces also applied. Albus Anne shaped with some promise when only beaten just over three lengths when fifth of 13 on seasonal reappearance, but Sense Of Security could be better shortlist material as she gives the impression she has more to offer.
