made all, shaken up 2f out, clear when ridden inside final furlong, ran on well
raced keenly, tracked winner, driven and not quicken over 1f out, well held when ridden inside final furlong
took keen hold early, tracked leading pair, switched outside 3f out, driven over 2f out, kept on same pace, no impression
held up 4th and last, outpaced 2f out, no chance with leaders
Mister Brightside is a half-brother to three winners and maybe more forward than the Elusive Quality colt Quality Song but the newcomers will have to be useful to stay within touching distance of the two previous winners. Time Test is a half-brother to stayer Retirement Plan and was quite impressive when forging clear of a field of maidens over track and trip last month. But his performance was not as eye-catching as that of LATHARNACH (NAP) here earlier. He only had to be pushed out to beat subsequent winner Tom Hark with Elm Park, who won his next two, almost three lengths further away in third.
Latharnach (USA) 8-15fav (9-5) Tracked leader and always travelling well, led inside final furlong, pushed along and quickened clear, easily, won at Sandown 7f 2yo mdn (5) gf in Jul beating Tom Hark (9-5) by 2 1/2l, 8 ran.
Time Test 5-6fav (9-5) Led, headed over 4f out, regained lead over 1f out, soon clear, won at Sandown 7f 2yo mdn (5) gs in Aug beating Sweet Dream (9-0) by 2 3/4l, 13 ran.
Mister Brightside (IRE) Lord Shanakill colt out of Lamh Eile.
