Verdict
HAIL PROMENADER can land this maiden, and is preferred to Cawdor and Winterbourne. The selection, one of three Barry Hills runners in this, was well backed on debut here when finishing just outside the frame. Subsequently placed at Bath, he can reward those backers this time around. He's got to overcome a low draw, but has run on soft going previously. Cawdor's flattered to deceive perhaps in a couple of runs so far at this grade. Experience could be vital, but the ground may be a concern. Winterbourne could be a decent each way price, if improving from debut. Certainly the breeding suggests he's got a win at this sort of level to come, and could be involved if handling the testing conditions. With several debutants, this race comes with the usual warning of check the market, but we'll side with Hail Promenader.
