Verdict
Ali Brewer is trying to strike while the iron is hot with Proud Times but he has a lot more to do under a penalty than when completing a hat-trick at Uttoxeter last week. Ludlow winner My Guardian Angel may also struggle to defy a penalty and Neston Grace carries 7lb extra after returning to winning ways at Exeter. We might take a chance on the fitness of LORD PROTECTOR, who has only found one too good in two previous starts over course and distance. His run behind Shotavodka in February suggests he's very well treated on a mark of 110. Reverb is edging closer to a first success and should be thereabouts but the handicapper has taken no chances with No No Mac and Uhlan Bute hasn't raced since winning an ordinary contest at Southwell in May. This looks a big ask for three-year-olds Hanga Roa, Keychain and Refer.
