Aldiruos has been in fine form of late but the handicapper may now have caught up with Tony Carroll's gelding and preference is for La Lambertine, who gets the verdict ahead of Siegfrieds Night. The last mentioned is already beginning to look a better hurdler than he was a flat horse and Michael Chapman's gelding has to be respected but he looks to have plenty of weight for what he has achieved. Martin Pipe's Murat, who heads the weights, is probably paying the price for finishing close up to Almaydan in a maiden hurdle at Taunton in February and is difficult to recommend on the evidence of his reappearance outing on this his debut in this grade. His presence ensures that stablemate La Lambertine has a nice racing weight though and the hint is taken. Timmy Murphy's mount opened her account in this country when landing a selling event at Taunton last month but there should be a lot more to come from a filly who won over timber in her native France and who's age belies her experience. The three-year-old is taken to make the most of the weight that she receives from her older rivals. Gary Moore's Party Games has slipped to a fair mark and, along with the consistent Green Gamble, cannot be ruled out entirely. The Paul Nicholls-trained Kjetil was mainly disappointing last season and again on his reappearance but it may be too soon to write him off completely. However, La Lambertine may now be getting the hang of things for Martin Pipe and is taken to give Timmy Murphy another winner.
