In depth

Verdict

Whitehotchillifili was almost certainly flattered by her third in a Grade 2 at Ascot at the start of the year but was a Listed winner here a year earlier. Coquelicot has gone up 6lb for her win at Ascot last month but West Balboa is potentially well treated on her second to Stage Star in a Grade 1 at Newbury last year, though hasn’t raced since. WHISKY EXPRESS was still showing signs of inexperience at Exeter last month but kept on well in the closing stages and she is probably better than a handicap mark of 109. Merry Poppins and Moonamacaroona may be best of the more-exposed mares.
